For 11 years I was the Lead Pastor of the Church of God of Landisville, a 250 person congregation in suburban Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.  I became pastor in 2001, just a few days before the memorable events of 9-11.  My congregation was more than 165 years old at that point when they felt prompted by the Holy Spirit to begin the journey from a traditional and inward-focused church to an outward-focused one impacting its community.  To borrow a phrase from Rick Russaw and Eric Swanson, “to be the best church for their community.” In 2012 ministry for me took a new direction.  I started a ministry call Bridgebuilders to help churches be healthy, outreaching, Kingdom-focused communities on mission with Jesus.  I also became an Intentional Interim Pastor with the Eastern Regional Conference of the Churches of God.  I also teach leadership, discipleship, New Testament, and the Ministerial Person for Winebrenner Theological Seminary.  In 2015 I published a book called THE BRIDGEBUILDER PRINCIPLE about helping churches build redemptive relationships with their unchurched neighbors.
